Company headquarters, history and achievements
The Institute of Innovative Biomedical Technology was initially established in 2001. Later on in 2006 it achieved the Scientific Institute status awarded by the Latvian government. Then in 2011 we received the silver medal for innovation, awarded by the Riga council.
When the Institute was initially planned, we decided to combine the ideal R&D unit where research, product development and production could be well integrated under the same roof. Our headquarters, including laboratories, research rooms, manufacturing facilities and other premises can cover an amazing area larger than 2600 square meters in the same building. This also facilitates the storage of ingredients and final products, quality checks, communication and interaction within the operational units.
About FitoBalt®, a registered brand for our own range of healthy products
In 2010 the Institute of Innovative Biomedical Technology developed a organized and progressive manufacturing unit named FitoBalt®. which became a company owned and registered brand. We research, develop and manufacture from scratch all the products in our premises. We are dedicated to the following areas of expertise - healthy supplements and functional food products, herbal teas for multiple purposes, cosmetics and nutricosmetics.
Quality policy and standards we follow
The aim of the Institute and FitoBalt® is to meet the demands and requirements of our clients at all times, particularly in terms of the highest quality and safety of the products we offer. We achieve this goal through the implementation and maintenance of the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GHP (Good Hygiene Practice) and HACCP principles (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), based on the Codex Alimentarius code.

We are totally committed to research, development and manufacturing healthy high quality products, for those who want to have a better health and life quality. Our range and line of products varies, however they can be used by almost everyone, from teenagers to senior citizens, including amateur and professional athletes. Also, one of our main focuses is to help people with existing health problems such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, gastrointestinal issues, hepatitis, etc.
